Former Manchester police officer convicted of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon

If you've been charged with a crime, it may seem like your options are limited, but you can rest assured knowing that there are New Hampshire criminal lawyers who will take on your case and represent you in court.

Earlier this week, David Connare -- a former Manchester police officer who had been working in law enforcement for more than two decades -- was convicted of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon following a car crash that occurred on October 16, 2012. Regional media publication the Union Leader states that Superior Court Judge Kenneth Brown has yet to set a sentencing date, but that Connare could face up to seven years in prison.

According to the news outlet, the incident took place on Interstate 93 at approximately 7 p.m. when Connare -- off-duty at the time -- collided with another vehicle, leaving its driver injured. Although police suspect that Connare was intoxicated and speeding when the crash took place, the defendant was not convicted of DWI.

"Upon reflection of the testimony, evidence, and the closing arguments of the counsel, the court finds that the state has failed to meet its burden of proving beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant operated a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor," wrote Brown, as reported by the source.

Have you been accused of a crime in the Granite State? If so, you may feel like the whole justice system is against you. With this in mind, it's essential not to settle for mediocre legal representation. You owe it to yourself to consult with an experienced New Hampshire lawyer. These knowledgeable professionals can review your case and defend you in a court of law.
