Seven people sentenced in NH after pleading guilty to drug-trafficking charges

Even after you've been convicted of a crime and sentenced to prison, a New Hampshire lawyer can continue to be an invaluable ally. These professionals will advocate on your behalf while you're behind bars, ensuring that you are treated fairly and working diligently to pursue alternative avenues that could result in an appeal or an early release.

According to The Associated Press, seven individuals "from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Colorado, recently pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy with the intent to distribute the drugs, conspiracy to use the U.S. mail for drug-trafficking and conspiracy to commit money laundering."

The source states that the defendants sent marijuana and other drugs such as ecstasy and hashish totaling up to $500,000 through the U.S. mail system during a time period between 2009 and 2011. The drugs were then reportedly shipped from California and sold at colleges throughout Vermont and the Granite State, including Lyndon University, Plymouth State University and Keene State College.

Sentences for the seven individuals vary, ranging from two years of probation to more than three years in prison, notes the news outlet.

If you've been accused of a drug-related crime in the Granite State, you may feel like the whole justice system is against you. With this in mind, it's essential not to settle for mediocre legal representation. You owe it to yourself to consult with an experienced New Hampshire lawyer. These knowledgeable professionals can review your case and defend you in a court of law, ensuring that your rights are represented throughout the entirety of the court process.
