Speeding Violation - What if the speed limit was 85 mph?

Ever been stopped for a driving violation? In New Hampshire the highest speed limit I have seen is 65 mph. It looks like many states now have speed limits as high as 70 mph or higher on portions of their highways. Oddly enough with speeds increasing, the number of highway fatalities has decreased. It is estimated that the number of people who died in a vehicle accidents last year will be th lowest since 1949!

Speeds are going to get faster soon. In Texas there is a stretch of highway opening soon where the speed limit will be 85 mph. As cars are built better year after year, they can handle these speeds. Older cars could never handle this kind of speed.

Read the attached article for more on speed on U. S. highways.

Regardless of speed, always be aware of your surroundings and drive with caution. If you are pulled over or arrested for a driving violation such as speeding or DUI / DWI in the Granite State, be sure you have a qualified attorney to assist you through the court process.
