Multi-vehicle car accidents require intensive investigations

Vehicular accidents in New Hampshire and other states may cause uncertainty regarding who was at fault. In car accidents involving multiple vehicles, that can be especially true. In a complicated accident with serious injuries, it is important for an injured victim to obtain the services of an experienced personal injury attorney as soon as possible after the accident. When the cause is in doubt or when liability must be identified and parsed out from between several drivers who may be partly or totally responsible, the attorney will direct an investigation that will obtain all of the accurate facts.

That kind of early professional assistance for an injured victim can be invaluable because it gives the victim a strong participation in the claims process and does not leave him or her to the whims or inaccurate conclusions of other persons. The attorney will aggressively pursue the facts to develop a true picture of what happened. The client will be well-served to know that his or her own representative reconstructed the events in a non-biased way.

A recent accident on the Everett Turnpike is an example of where there may be questions of which operators were most at fault and who will have legal responsibility to compensate innocent, injured victims. The accident involved six cars during rainy weather. Four children and two adults were reportedly injured in the chaotic event that left vehicle parts and debris over a quarter-mile section of the turnpike. There are currently no reports indicating who was at fault.

Three ambulances were dispatched to take victims to local New Hampshire hospitals. Although press and/or police reports stated that the victims all suffered minor injuries, such conclusions immediately after car accidents are premature and should be discounted. Anyone who is injured in a vehicular accident should obtain immediate and follow-up care as directed by the treating physicians. What appears to be minor immediately after impact may turn out to be a disabling injury that could last for months or years.
