Woman suspected of DWI crashes car, seriously injuring two passengers

When you make the decision to get behind the wheel of a vehicle while intoxicated, not only do you risk getting arrested for DWI, but you put yourself and others in serious danger as well. If you get into a car accident under the influence of alcohol or drugs and someone is injured as a result, it is imperative that you consult a New Hampshire criminal defense lawyer immediately.

According to the Union Leader, 22-year-old Manchester resident Lacey Lane was charged with "driving under the influence of alcohol, driving after suspension or revocation of her license and reckless conduct" following an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 17.

The source states that Lane crashed her white 1999 Ford Explorer into a tractor-trailer that was parked on the side of Wellington Road in Manchester. The force of the collision left two passengers seriously hurt -- one of whom had to be airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries.

If the 24-year-old passenger dies, "police [will] confer with the Hillsborough County Attorney about amended charges," reports the news outlet.

Lane has been released on $1,000 cash/surety bail and has an arraignment scheduled for September 4.

Have you been accused of a crime in the Granite State? If so, it is in your best interest to find a New Hampshire criminal defense lawyer soon after your arrest. These experienced professionals can review your case and defend you in a court of law, ensuring that you are treated fairly throughout the entirety of the legal process.
