Hampton man arrested for selling oxycodone

The Granite State currently has harsh penalties in place for individuals who are convicted of drug-related crimes, which is why those who are accused of these offenses need to consult New Hampshire attorneys who can ensure that their rights are protected throughout the legal process.

According to regional news source the Union Leader, 55-year-old Hampton resident Bruce Rubin "is facing three counts of sale of a controlled drug for allegedly selling [oxycodone] pills between December 4 and March 29 while under surveillance of the Rockingham Sheriff's Drug Task Force." The penalties for these crimes include up to 15 years in prison and $200,000 worth of fines.

The source reports that Rubin acquired the oxycodone legally through a prescription that he had been given, but then illegally sold as many as 30 of the pills at a time to a confidential informant for between $8 to $10 each. The two separate incidents reportedly took place after the 55-year-old had gotten his prescriptions filled at pharmacies in Plaistow and Derry.

Rubin was apprehended in May, and is being held on bail until his arraignment, which is scheduled for the end of July in Rockingham County Superior Court.

If you've been accused of a crime in the Granite State, you may feel like the whole justice system is against you. With this in mind, it's essential not to settle for mediocre legal representation. You owe it to yourself to consult with an experienced New Hampshire lawyer. These knowledgeable professionals can review your case and defend you in a court of law.
