A man from Bedford, New Hampshire, who was charged with robbing a bank will need to enlist the services of a New Hampshire lawyer to protect his rights and ensure that he receives a fair trial.
According to the Union Leader, a regional news source, 26-year-old Jonathan Talbot was arrested on Thursday, May 30, and charged with robbing a Citizens Bank on Brown Avenue. The source reports that the incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. on that day.
A 38-year-old female teller told law enforcement officials that Talbot approached her and showed her a note written on a deposit slip demanding that she hand over cash. He implied that he was carrying a firearm, though the woman says that she never saw it. After the teller gave Talbot the money he had requested, the criminal exited the bank.
Fortunately, the bank employee - whose name isn't mentioned in the article - was able to catch a glimpse of the robber's car and license plate number after he fled toward the parking lot. Using this information, state police officers were able to obtain the suspect's address and arrest him at his home later that day.
Talbot's arraignment was scheduled for May 31 in 9th Circuit Court, Manchester District Division.
